Climate Change
Ho Chi Minh City was known as the land of "the favorable rain and wind". However, nowadays, according to the climate change scenario, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong River Delta are most affected by climate change. Ho Chi Minh City is also one of the 10 largest cities in the world is most affected by climate change.
In the morning of September 11, in Ha Noi, Minister Tran Hong Ha and Vice Minister Nguyen Linh Ngoc presided the meeting to implement the conclusion of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the organization of the conference on changing Mekong Delta sustainable development model (Mekong Delta) to adapt to climate change. The conference is expected to take place on September 26-27 in Can Tho City.
In order to provide technical information to policymakers, implementing units involved in greenhouse gas emissions mitigation activities, on August 22, 2017, Department for Climate Change (CC) coordinated with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Vietnam to organize a regional workshop of the development of new mechanisms for low carbon markets.
This is an ODA loan using project funded by the German Government. Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) is considered as the coordinating agency in two provinces: Kien Giang and Ca Mau province in 6 Years (2017-2022).
The Danish International Development Agency, the Farmers' Association of the provinces of Lai Chau, Son La and Dien Bien organized a summation conference of the project for climate change and ethnic minorities in the North.
On June 24, General Motors Vietnam collaborated with Marinelife Organism Conservation and Community Development Center (MCD) to organize the event: "Responding World Environment Day: Mangrove forest protection, climate change adaptation "in Giao Thien commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) signed a non-refundable aid agreement with a total value of more than 410 billion VND for the project "Operation of reservoirs in emergency and effective flood management by a comprehensive disaster management information system."

Welcome Dutch Ambassador, Mrs. Nienke Trooster at the Government office in the morning of on March 28, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung confirmed that the Netherlands is the model for Vietnam to study and share experiences in coping with climate change, state management, high-tech agriculture development.
In the morning of April 4, the launching ceremony of Climate Change Policy Research Center took place in Hanoi, attracted the participation of experts and researchers interested in agriculture and rural development.
