Overview of the workshop

In the morning of September 9, Danang People’s Committee and British Embassy organized the a workshop to launch Calculator 2050 projects with the topic "Upgrade Calculator 2050 of Vietnam and build Calculator version for the province to assist policy management of energy and greenhouse gas emissions."

Calculator 2050 Model built by The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change for this country and supported 10 developing countries, such as Korea, China, Belgium and etc to build one Calculator 2050 version for each country.

Calculator 2050 is a simple and interactive tool. This tool is an energy balance model, experts assessed independently and given a scenario for the industry from different angles to provide a solution for 2050.

Mr. Hoang Van Tam, Chief of Environmental Safety Department (MOIT), said the project launching, Vietnam will join international experts to study and build own version.
