Climate Change Policy Research Center was officially launched at the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture. The center is formed in the context of an increasing number of agencies and organizations in Asia promoting activities to cope with climate change, disseminating knowledge about climate change and its impact on agriculture. The main purpose of the center is to create a forum for CIAT's scientific research, which promises great benefits to the local and regional agriculture.

Dr. Dino Campilan, CIAT Asia Director, said: "All Asian countries are expressing their desire to respond effectively to the impacts of climate change in agriculture.
