Farmers in the coastal areas will migrate
Farmer, fishermen, salt workers and the urban poor people are most affected by climate change due to lack of nutrition, resources, financial capability, and to difficultly access information to cope up the climate weather. That was the statement of associate professor, Dr. Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of Institute for Climate Change - Can Tho University at the Mekong Connect CEO Forum 2016 with the topic "Search chances in risks" in the past.

At the forum, many scientists and international organizations said, Vietnam, particularly the Mekong Delta (MD), one of countries has a high risk of injury due to the impact of climate change and sea level rises. Many research results showed that the Mekong Delta region will be impacted by the average highest temperature during the dry season, it will increase between 33-35oC to between 35 - 37 ° C. Early summer rainfall will decrease by approximately 10-20%. Besides, Mekong Delta will be flooded towards Bac Lieu - Ca Mau, but the number of flooded days in the province will reduce.

Therefore, it is expected to shift farmers' migration in the coastal areas affected by climate change and rising sea in cities of North and West regions, including Chau Doc, Long Xuyen, Can Tho, Vinh Long, My Tho, Tan an and etc. This makes urban planning is broken, social order will be a challenge, deteriorating urban environment is due to the increase in population.
