Deputy Minister Tran Viet Thanh worked with Korea Development Institute on project content due to Department of Application and Technology Development proposed in the framework of the Knowledge sharing program 2014.
Recently, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (S&T) Tran Viet Thanh had a meeting with the delegation of Korea Development Institute (KDI) on the collaborative joint research proposal between KDI and Department of Application and Technological Development in the framework of Korea knowledge sharing program 2014.


Overview of the meeting.

Deputy Minister expressed the support of the Ministry of S&T for cooperation project between Department of Application and Technological Development and KDI. He believed that the experience of Korea in support of the enterprise’s technology innovation will be very useful for Vietnam and contribute actively to promote technological innovation in Vietnam enterprises.

Previously, leaders of Department of Application and Technology Development worked with KDI delegation about the project content. At the meeting, Dr. Sangwoo NAM, Director of Knowledge sharing Research program (KSP) 2014 has appreciated the content of proposed joint cooperation projects as well as participating partners, including Korea Technology Finance Fund (KOTEC) and Department of Application and Technological Development (Vietnam) that played a pivotal role. Dr. Sangwoo NAM believed proposed contents of the project will contribute to MOST to solve existent problems in the transfer and innovation of technology in Vietnam today.

Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) that South Korea Ministry of Strategy and Finance initiated in 2004 and Korea Development Institute (KDI) is an agency that plays a key role in the design and implementation of this program. Purpose of program is to support the partner countries of Korea in policy development through the sharing of experiences and knowledge in the development of South Korea. So far, South Korea has made KSP in 39 partner countries with 460 research topics and Vietnam joined the program from first days of three projects under Ministry of Plan and Investments. These evaluated projects have brought positive impacts, useful contributions to research strategy development, and plans in Vietnam.
