On August 10, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology held a training course "Exploiting industrial property information in the assessment of infringement of rights to industrial designs, trademarks and practical issues need to be noted in the assessment and handling of disputes over industrial property rights" for officials and civil servants who enforce the protection of intellectual property rights in the area of Ho Chi Minh City. The training course attracted more than 60 trainees from units under the City Police, the City Market Management Department and the City Customs Department.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, MSc. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhung - Deputy Head of the Department of Intellectual Property Management, Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City shared, in recent times, the Department of Science and Technology has received many requests to provide information, provide professional advice on intellectual property and guide industrial property assessment procedures of rights protection enforcement agencies, such as the Police, Customs, Market Management to serve the public industry work.
MSc. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhung, added that the training course was also organized to implement the Strategic Plan of Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Development in Ho Chi Minh City until 2030 according to Decision No. 266/QD - People's Committee dated 19/01/2023 of the City People's Committee. As well, equipping knowledge and skills to look up industrial property information for enforcement officers to protect industrial property rights to serve the analysis and assessment of infringements of industrial property rights. At the same time, guiding the use of industrial property assessment services to handle disputes and infringement of industrial property rights in the city. |
