Research on production of microbial products to create organic fertilizers from vegetable wastes in the development of clean vegetable cultivation
In the afternoon of December 27, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a meeting of the Advisory Council to evaluate and accept the results of the project "Research on production of microbial products to create organic fertilizers from vegetable and fruit wastes in the development of clean vegetable cultivation”. The study is carried by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Khoi Nghia. Can Tho University is a presiding agency.

Council's members

The objective of the project is to research and apply microbial products containing lactic acid bacteria strains to help quickly convert organic wastes from vegetables and fruits into microbial organic fertilizer for clean vegetable cultivation in Can  Tho urban areas. Research on the production process of microbial products containing lactic acid synthase bacteria strains; Survey and evaluate the ability to decompose organic wastes from vegetables and fruits of microbial products containing lactic acid bacteria in greenhouse conditions; Evaluation of the effect of finished microbial organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of lettuce under field conditions.

The project's activities include: Testing some functions of lactic acid synthesizing microorganisms; Select suitable environment for lactic acid microorganisms to produce liquid microbial products; Collect and evaluate organic waste characteristics; Experiment to evaluate the ability to decompose vegetable and fruit wastes of microbial products containing lactic acid microorganisms; Compost organic fertilizer for use in the field experiment after the optimal composting treatment.

Overview of the meeting

The council unanimously evaluated the excellent project.
