After two years of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Singapore IP Week 2022 is held directly again to meet the expectations of the business community, innovators and IP professionals around the world. According to a report by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), the IP Week 2021 event was attended by more than 10,000 people from more than 50 countries, of which more than 40% of the attendees were from the business community.
Speaking at the opening of the Global Intellectual Property Forum, WIPO General Director Daren Tang said that the Covid-19 pandemic is both a major disruptive agent and a strong promoter of existing technology trends. He also mentioned the decades-long shift of the innovation sector, specifically today, 7 out of 10 IP applications are of Asian, African and Latin American origin while a decade ago it was 5/10.
High-level contacts with WIPO, IPOS and INTA have confirmed the NOIP's good relationship with these agencies and organizations. In the coming time, the parties will further promote bilateral cooperation activities with NOIP, thereby contributing to strengthening the innovation ecosystem in Vietnam. |
