FameLab contest seeks climate science communication ambassadors
The British Council has launched the FameLab Climate Change Communication Competition to find top climate science communicators ahead of the 26th Climate Change Summit (COP26).


The contest is aimed at scientific communicators from many countries, including Vietnam. Candidates will film a short three-minute video with a self-presentation in English on the topic "Believe in climate science."

Ten talented candidates who impress the judges with their compelling science stories will qualify for the final round and take part in a two-day online course with the world's leading science communicators to improve skills.

The final round will be streamed online on the YouTube channel in September 2021, the candidates go head-to-head to find the first prize.

The winner of the FameLab Climate Change Communication Contest will be invited to the FameLab International Competition Online Finals in November 2021.

FameLab International is a science communication competition owned and founded by Cheltenham Festivals and organized globally by the British Council since 2007. The competition seeks to find and support the world's most talented new science communicators. Participants have three minutes to wow the judges and audience with a talk in the field of science, technology, math or engineering.

The deadline to receive works for the FameLab Climate Change Communication Competition will be July 27, 2021.
