The model uses red sunflower watermelon, microbial organic fertilizer with a dose of 50 kg / 1.000 m2, combines with 1 kg of Trichoderma. In addition, farmers use Pseudomonate, Mega Power, Nano Chitosan. The goal of the model is to promote and encourage watermelon planting farmers to use bio-products and microorganisms to reduce the amount of chemical drugs and create safe and environment-friendly products.
After 2 months of modeling, the results showed that the actual yield of watermelon was 3.2 tons / 1.000 m2, 7% higher than the control (0.3 ton / 1.000 m2). The number of chemical sprays was 8 times, one reduction compared with the control (9 times) but the big difference was that the demonstration site replaced 4 times of chemical spraying with microbiological and biological preparations for prevention of pests and diseases. In addition, Mr. Phuc also used a homemade mixture of garlic, onions, ginger, and alcohol to spray on watermelon to ward off pests.
Through the workshop summarized demonstration models, farmers and traders appreciated fruit color, green leaf color and stiffer than control fruit, cucumber with thin shell, and sweet taste. At the price of 8,500 VND / kg, after deducting the investment costs, profit is about 19 million VND / 1,000 m2, which is higher than the control of 2 million VND / 1,000 m2. This is a relatively high profit model compared to other crops at the present time. At the same time, thanks to reducing the amount of chemical drugs, the safer product, reducing environmental pollution. |
