Director Dinh Huu Phi and Rector Phan Hong Hai signed a memorandum of understanding between the NOIP and the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City
Afternoon 8/1, in the HCM City, Natinal Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (IP) had a working session and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH). Attending the meeting, there were Dr. Dinh Huu Phi - Director of the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam, PhD. Phan Hong Hai - Rector of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), Assoc. Dr. Dam Sao Mai - Vice Rector of IUH and leaders of some functional units of the NOIP and IUH.
Speaking at the meeting, Director Dinh Huu Phi said that NOIP always attaches great importance to the cooperation of schools and institutes through information exchange, staff training, training and awareness raising activities about IP.
The Director said that universities and research institutes have a large contingent of scientific research and technology development staffs, but the number of inventions of universities is low, so the NOIP wants to arouse inventive and creative capacity in universities and research institutes, especially to create inventions with high commercialization.
The Director hopes that IUH will also actively participate in the implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy and the Intellectual Property Development Program up to 2030 that has just been issued by the Prime Minister.
At the meeting, NOIP and Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides. According to the MoU, the two sides will cooperate in exchanging information and experiences on policies and laws in the field of IP; building policies and systems for management of intellectual property of IUH; measures to encourage and promote creative activities and exploitation of intellectual property in order to contribute to the development of training, scientific research, and improve the material and spiritual life of cadres and civil servants, officers, employees, graduate students and students of IUH; Implementing IP awareness elevation activities; develop the capacity to create and exploit intellectual property. |
