Mrs. Thoa said that most businesses register their trademarks, names or logos right after being established. However, they do not know what their businesses still have to protect. "When we consulted, they only understand more and know how to identify, manage and exploit their own IP asset", Mrs. Thoa shared.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, Head of IP asset Management Consulting Department, Center for Science and Technology Application and Services, also said that during the implementation of the training program from 2017, the Center realized that there were many businesses confused about "who administers and manages what."

According to Mrs.Nhung, IP asset is both intangible and diverse and is protected by intellectual property rights (copyrights, inventions, trademarks, industrial designs, etc.). The factor that makes a difference in the value of a company is no longer in the size of tangible assets, but in these intangible assets.

The program has coordinated and attracted 40 organizations and a total of 600 scientists registered to participate in the implementation of projects from many S&T organizations throughout the country. There are 200 major scientific organizations participating in the implementation coordination, including 12 departments and sectors in the Northwestern provinces. The management of intangible assets helps promote technology transfer of protected objects, generating cash flow from leasing and transfer activities. Besides, it also helps businesses control their holdings of important assets, protect them from competitors, avoid copying works or use improvements.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xuan Anh, Deputy Head of Management Board of Information Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized, in the process of international economic integration, the identification and management of fixed IP assets and immutable assets of organizations and businesses is becoming increasingly urgent. Good protection of intellectual property rights will protect goods and services of investors and creators of IP assets; at the same time, create a fair and fair competitive environment, ensuring long-term economic benefits. All 58 programs and projects under the program are conducted based on high reliability database, research and development methods, rich, diverse, modern and effective approaches in accordance with the requirements of each mission.
