Attending the dialogue, there were leaders of agencies and more than 600 students in Hanoi. The aim is to help the youth become more aware of the climate change, and to encourage them to become part of the overall development of the society.

Speaking at the opening of the dialogue, Mr. Oliveier Sigaud, Deputy Head of the French Embassy in Vietnam, said that young people are suffering from the effects of climate change caused by the previous generation. They are also the core force of society, decide the future of the country.

In the context that Vietnam is one of the countries most affected by climate change, the Government needs to develop a longer-term vision to achieve the goal of combating climate change, mobilizing participation of all members of the society and especially young people.
