Climate Change
Prime Minister surveyed impact on climate change in the Mekong Delta
In the afternoon of September 26, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Mekong Delta (DC) by helicopter.

Take off from Can Tho city, "a capital" of the Mekong Delta and fly along the coast, to the Cape of Ca Mau, the visit is to prepare for Conference on sustainable development of Mekong Delta, adapt to climate change. He will preside over the plenary session on September 27.

With the largest scale so far, this is seen as the "Rosary Conference" aimed at gathering big ideas to help the government and Mekong Delta localities identify large strategic transformation solutions for sustainable development of Mekong Delta with a vision to 2100.

With that mind, the monitoring, lasting more than two hours, provided a visual perspective for the head of government in the face of increasingly pronounced effects of climate change, not just the numbers from the Reports of ministries, agencies, organizations, so that decisions are made "right", vital meaning for the "granary" of the country.

In addition, climate change adaptation also needs a holistic, comprehensive look, "not what he does while the resources are limited," the prime minister said at a recent meeting.
