Netherlands is a model for studying and sharing experiences in responding to climate change
Welcome Dutch Ambassador, Mrs. Nienke Trooster at the Government office in the morning of on March 28, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung confirmed that the Netherlands is the model for Vietnam to study and share experiences in coping with climate change, state management, high-tech agriculture development.


Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung welcomed Dutch Ambassador Nienke Trooster.

According to Deputy Prime Minister, adaptation to climate change, water resource protection, sustainable agricultural development is a priority of Vietnam. Meanwhile, this is an area which the Netherlands is the leading country in the world.

Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam Government always considers the Netherlands as a model for studying and cooperating in the field of adaptation to climate change, water source protection, restructuring of agricultural production and rural economy development, new rural construction.

It is expected in April 2017, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung will lead Vietnam Government to attend the sixth high-level meeting of Vietnam-Netherland Intergovernmental Committee on climate change adaptation.

Deputy Prime Minister said that the visit will be a good opportunity for the two sides to look at the results of cooperation over the past time and exchange experience and solutions to implement cooperation between the two countries increasingly more effectively. The visit is also an opportunity for both sides to discuss more issues of common concern such as seaport management and development; high-tech agriculture development.

The ambassador affirmed that the Netherlands committed to cooperate closely with Vietnam, bringing the two countries' cooperation to become a model for other countries in the field of responding to climate change.
