Build capacity for self-adaptation to climate change
One of the main contents of the Coordination Program between Can Tho Natural Resources and Environment and Standing Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho city, with the religions of environmental protection, coping with Climate change for the period 2015-2020 is to build capacity for self-adaptation to climate change.


According to the signing program, targets to 2020, each commune, ward or town will build at least one model of "religious community to protect the environment and respond to climate change". Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City and religious organizations will supervise the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection every two to three years at a number of production establishments.

Department of Natural Resources and Environment collaborated with Vietnam Fatherland Front of Can Tho city to assist in the compilation and distribution of documents related to environmental protection and response to climate change in accordance with religions; build detailed implementation plans for annual activities for the period 2015-2020.

Implementing the Program, Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Department of Natural Resources and Environment requested the Party committees, authorities, fronts and mass organizations at all levels to regularly concern and support religious organizations, community and individuals in order to actively participate in environmental protection and response to climate change.
