The Festival is to build a safe school model project, introduce a number of activities of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in the schools, concurrently build unity action plan frameworks, model deployment program contents in the safe school at primary schools in provincial areas.

With the message "Students and teachers of Giao Xuan Primary School actively learn knowledge and train disaster prevention skills, contribute to mitigate disaster risks and climate change adaptation", the goal of activities aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation of students in grade 4 and grade 5.

Simultaneously, above actions are to enhance awareness of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation not only with subjects in the schools but also towards the object in the family and society; raising awareness and skills on mitigation of disaster risks and climate change adaptation in the locality in general.
