|
In the afternoon of September 21, 2022, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a meeting to assess the budget for the project "Building a farming model to improve efficiency and sustainability in fruit tree production in Can Tho city.”
|
Overview of the meeting
The study is carried out to improve the sustainability of soil fertility and fruit quality for 03 fruit trees (durian, mango, longan) by using microbial organic fertilizers in combination with NPK fertilizers in Can Tho; Improve the efficiency of irrigation water and fertilizer efficiency for 03 fruit trees by drip irrigation with IoT technology.
Appraisal team's members
The contents of the research include: Investigating the current status of cultivation and surveying the land; Formulation of NPK and organic fertilizer application; Research on microbial organic fertilizers; Building a model of supplying urea by drip irrigation; Building an integrated framework for soil quality assessment; Implement demonstration models, organize workshops and local training to transfer techniques and research results.
The implemented project will make recommendations for the combination of inorganic, organic and micro-organic fertilizers and the Internet of Things (IoT) into the drip irrigation system, which is a solution to reduce input investment costs (irrigation water, fuel, labor and fertilizers), increase the sustainability of the production system, prolong the harvest time of valuable crops, such as durian, longan, and mango.
Research team
The appraisal team has approved the content and level of funding for the implementation of the project according to the State's regulations. However, the research team needs to adjust some contents according to the comments of the members of the appraisal team. |
