Transparency of the origin of products and goods, especially foods, is the "key" to create trust for consumers and help prevent fraudulent acts of cross-border trade... In addition, traceability also helps businesses improve their brand position.

Bringing agricultural products to international markets

According to Mr. Bui Ba Chinh, Vietnam is implementing and supporting Vietnamese businesses, especially those in the supply chain of export dragon fruit products. One of them is the project to support enterprises to apply traceability in safety and quality management under the Program of Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security in the Greater Mekong Sub-region of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the National Center for Barcodes cooperated to implement the project in Vietnam.

Concretize traceability standards

Regarding the above issue, when talking about solutions to implement traceability of agricultural products well, Mr. Mai Quang Thinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VN Check Joint Stock Company (a unit providing agriculture product traceability platform) said that it is necessary to specify in detail and specific standards for a traceability system that keeps up with modern technologies, transparent data and information of production units in real time, with accurate specific support polices for enterprises to research and develop product traceability technologies.
