The conference was honored to welcome comrades: Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of  Can Tho City People's Committee; Nguyen Doi Hien, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, together with leaders of city departments, agencies and more than 200 typical youth union members attended the event.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Tran Viet Truong said: Can Tho city with more than 24% of the population is young people, accounting for 33.7% of the total number of employees, youth is a great force of all fields, is a young, dynamic, creative human resource that quickly adapts to scientific and technical progress. Accessing and absorbing digital transformation requires digital citizenship, and young people have many strengths. The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested to promote the core role of youths in the digital transformation process. Departments and branches need to orient digital transformation, deploy mechanisms and policies to support young people in digital transformation; pay more attention to the training and fostering of digital skills for students at educational institutions. At the same time, strengthen the connection mong the city and young businesses, investors, and their technologies.

The dialogue ended with a question-and-answer session with city leaders about issues: programs and policies to support young people in digital transformation in the fields of learning, scientific research, and start-up innovation, training of digital human resources and regulations on intellectual property protection and etc.
