58 projects received Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award
On December 30, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee organized the awarding of the Innovation Award in 2021, to honor organizations and individuals with award-winning research, solutions, products and services, contributing to the development of the City.


In the second organization time, the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award received 195 applications for participation and selected 58 works to be awarded. In which, there are 3 first prizes, 15 second prizes and 32 third prizes. In particular, this year, the Organization Board also considered and awarded 8 creative prizes out of 16 application solutions in the prevention of COVID-19 epidemic, including: 1 first prize, 5 second prizes and 2 third prizes. This is the recognition and praise of Ho Chi Minh City for the contributions of agencies, units and fields in the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic.

The first prizes receive 200 million VND/prize; Second prize - 150 million VND/prize, and Third prize - 100 million VND/prize.

The Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award is considered and awarded every 2 years in order to arouse the creative potential of industries, levels, agencies, units and localities in 7 areas: economic development; defence security; state management; the media; art literature; science technology; innovation startups.

The winning projects:

1. The project "Be Group - Open ecosystem, starting for innvation start-up development "make in Vietnam" of Be Group Joint Stock Company. This is the Be ride-hailing application that provides a variety of services, currently holding the 2nd market share in ride-hailing in Vietnam. The project is in the field of economic development.

2. The project "Building political potential and spirit of the defense area of Ho Chi Minh City" by a group of authors under the City Command. The research work has proposed a scientific basis for the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to lead and direct the building of political potential and spirit of the defense area of Ho Chi Minh City in the new period. Thereby, helping to improve the quality and effectiveness of defense and security education for the subjects, contributing to building a regular, elite revolutionary, and step-by-step modernized city's armed forces. This is a project in the field of defense and security.

3. Bamboo Circus work “A O Show” by the group of authors of Lune Production Joint Stock Company. The work presents the life scenes of the poetic quiet Southern countryside and the bustling and noisy city. “A O Show” has had more than 1,250 performances in Vietnam, serving more than 300,000 domestic audiences, foreigners living and working in Vietnam and international tourists from more than 110 countries and territories. Works of art and literature.

4. The first prize for creativity in epidemic prevention and control belongs to the project "Network of companion doctors to support risk screening, medical care advice for patients infected with COVID-19 at home" of the author group from many different agencies and fields.

The Network of Companion Doctors is an application of technology and coordination of community resources to advise, guide and share with people with COVID-19, with the participation of more than 10,028 registered physicians and volunteers, in which there are more than 6,300 members who actively work day and night to support people in epidemic areas. The network of companion doctors has expanded the model to support provinces, such as Hanoi, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Dong Thap, etc.
